Julie Kent MBE
Julie was born and bred in Gloucester and after going to Leeds College of Music to study Jazz and Light music returned to Gloucestershire to play in various bands around the country and the world. She started to teach when she had children and lived in a boarding House with 60 teenage girls for 20 years in Cheltenham. She has been involved in various charities, fundraising for nearly 30 years and was awarded an MBE last year in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
She now spends her retirement fundraising, podcasting, gigging, offering a style & colour service and cuddling her granddaughter.
